Residual Current Devices (RCD)
It is fast becoming a requirement for fixed RCD's to be tested regularly in all rental and commercial properties, RCD's functioning correctly is a necessity to protect yourself and your tenants. At the very least if your RCD's are working properly they will protect your property from non-test and tagged appliances.

Pre-Move In Inspections
We are able to do a full safety inspection on your property prior to new tenants moving in. This service can be customised to your needs, generally it includes check and certify smoke detection systems, Test and Tag all fixed appliances such as dishwasher, range hood, garage door opener and rain water pump, Test and Tag RCD's (Residual current devices). A lot of these facets to the service are not a legislative requirement but soon will be, why not get in early and be the proactive property manager? You may wish to have some of these checks carried out annually, we can schedule it and contact you when it is due.
Fixed Appliances
It is important to understand the implications of not having your appliances Tested and Tagged, some fixed equipment is at a higher risk than others namely dishwashers. Dishwashers are in most rental properties these days and often do not ever get any attention. The risks with dishwashers are higher than most appliances for a couple of reasons, number 1: they are a mix of water and electricity, number 2: the cords and hoses are usually hidden and prone to being chewed or damaged by rodents or poor treatment. Other appliances that can be affected in these ways are rain water pumps and range hoods.
